Have you seen anything about Point2 in the news lately? If you read the Wall Street Journal or RISMedia, you might have stumbled across one of our recent press releases announcing the launch of new real estate search portals we are building for MLSs and associations. That’s right, we’re helping MLSs and associations (and their members) get more eyes on their listings by creating websites that house the most accurate listing information, all in one easy-to-use place.
Our first public-facing portal was launched in June and was created for the Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS® (GEPAR) in El Paso, Texas. The new website provides consumers with information about El Paso homes for sale and rent using timely and accurate data that originates from the GEPAR Multiple Listings Service (MLS). Our responsive website design means that it’s compatible with tablets and smartphones. GEPAR’s portal features a branded, user-friendly interface that’s been customized for their audience to include local demographics and neighborhood information.
Point2 portal features include:
- Easy-to-navigate user interface
- Customizable branding and logos
- Enhanced search options
- Detailed information about active listings
- Clearly displayed listing agent information
- MLS-Certified listings
GEPAR chose to take advantage of this free Point2 service as a benefit to their members. The new website will help connect consumers with El Paso REALTORS® by providing direct access to GEPAR member profiles and contact information. The listing agent is displayed prominently next to each property, ensuring transparency and guiding visitors to the most knowledgeable real estate professionals.
“By partnering with Point2, we feel it will position our new public portal and our members as the most trusted source for real estate in our region,” said Jason Sanchez, Director of MLS & Technology for GEPAR. “With sites like Zillow and Trulia dominating the industry, it is crucial that MLSs remain relevant by positioning themselves as the best and most reliable source for real estate in their respective marketplaces.”
Other MLSs and associations have also signed up to have portals created for their areas. Just this week, the San Francisco Association of REALTORS® launched their Point2 portal featuring San Francisco homes for sale and rent. East Bay Regional Data expects to follow shortly.
We’re super excited about these new portals! Keep your eyes on the Point2 Newsroom for additional updates in the coming weeks…
